In 2011 I owned and operated a studio “Digital Harlem Studios” on 125th street between Park and Lexington up in Harlem NYC.
I was DJing and touring with my girlfriend at the time.
It was a dope dojo where I recorded a lot of prolific music. One was the Cannibal Ox album “Gotham”
Another was my rock based joint that I cooked up myself. It is where I first hit a stride in completely writing, recording, producing, & playing everything for a record. I did the vocals as well.
So basically like a cook making a whole meal from scratch using only whole food ingredients, I made these songs that I still enjoy.
I have evolved in production technics and posses more sophisticated gear and software now, I still can remember how it felt to listen in the live room on my big JBL speakers and feel an accomplishment. That accomplishment or whatever you want to label it as, I still feel that when I listen to these recordings today…
The Harlem Studio era is definably point as me as an Artist/ Producer…
